This restaurant offers you nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around St. Mary's House & Gardens. Went here for a last minute birthday meal and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. The food was delicious and I highly recommend saving room for the coconut supreme ice cream (out of this world!) Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If I was judging the Maharajah on the quality of its food and the waiting staff alone I’d be inclined to give it a 5. But as a venue it would only score 1 Firstly I know our visit was on a Thursday evening and we were the only folks in the restaurant all evening. we were shown to our table in what I can best decried as a cavernous dining hall with absolutely no atmosphere, not even pipped musac the decor was very stark and the lighting hard with an industrial feel. I’m sure if this place was full these issues would be less obvious. What was wrong with flock wallpaper and low level lighting. I’m sorry maharajah but the venue lets you down, although the food was fantastic.
