Report incorrect information
After telling him that he can't talk to my wife like that (yes, this is Europe, she is entitled to have an opinion) he told me 'what are you going to do about it?'. This is the most unprofessional attitude I have ever come across at any restaurant in my life.
After telling him I was not going to take his attitude, he then threatened to call the police... I have no idea for what for - me complaining that he insulted me? maybe its against the law in the Netherlands to complain that the food is expensive? Not as far as I am aware... I guess he thought I was a 'stupid tourist'.. Except, I do live in Rotterdam.
So lets put it this way, that was the last time I'll be going to Maher's kitchen.
For his sake (if he wants a successful business), I really hope that he stops taking customer's feedback so personally, because this is the worst thing you can do when running your own business. Good luck to him.
