This restaurant is a must visit if it’s in your budget! The chef and staff are wonderful and the food and cocktails were phenomenal and unforgettable. I’ll be visiting again the next time I’m in Puerto Vallarta Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: MX$1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Too expensive. Not worth the money. They seem to have figured how to market. It’s really not worth a $100+ USD per person just for the food. They do this thing of showing you the 10 course tasting menu first while not offering the ala carte option and then revealing that they also have a 7 course option. They try to sell you hard on wine, bottle water ($5 USD) and to go for the tasting menu. But I don’t think it’s priced well. It looks like fine dining in terms of presentation but the ingredients are not all that fancy. Are you looking for an exotic dinning experience with meticulously chosen and blended ingredients that created a wide variety of flavors and dishes served lovingly by a courteous and caring young waitress? Then your choosing Makal was the correct choice. On the 4 times we dined at Makal these factors seem to be enhancing each time. God brought together an amazing set of caring people to perform the miracle of Makal. I will be making a futile effort if I try to describe the exuberance of each item we were served with.
