We were eyeing this restaurant for a very long time and finally had an opportunity to stop by. The place is not very large and the tables are packed very tightly together. The service is the absolute pits. It's as though none of the waitresses have a clue what they're doing and bartender is just plain out rude. There are far better options in Uptown when it comes to ambiance and service.

It is usually awkward eating alone, but not at Malabar. The Spanish Tapas were amazing. I ordered three small plates - dates, mushrooms & asparagus, and scallops and it's hard to say which one I enjoyed most (I guess that I would choose the bacon wrapped stuffed dates). Everything was excellent and I would like to bring my wife back here for a romantic date.
