Meals at Malai

After looking at Philadelphia Art Alliance, have a meal at Malai. The Thai cuisine is on the menu at this cafe. Try nicely cooked strawberry shortcake, roti and chili. You can always try good mango ice cream, biscuits and kulfi - a special offer of Malai. Great masala chai, chocolate frappe or mango lassi will make your meal tastier and you'll surely come back.

It's easy to find this place due to its great location. If you look through the visitors' reviews, the staff is professional at this spot. Spectacular service is something clients agree upon here. You will like affordable prices. There is an exotic atmosphere and homey decor at this cafe. 4.4 is what Malai got from the Google rating system.

Flavors are creative and well balanced. Passion fruit cilantro was a great Discovering. You can get up to 4 samples before ordering. It is a little pricy.

Born in NYC, this woman-owned ice cream shop is throughout the East Coast, including Philly and D.C. Walk inside and find one spacious room with plenty of tables and even more outside along the sidewalk. There's usually a line, but it moves quickly. All their ice cream is inspired by South Asian flavors like chai. They also have two soft serve options. The ice cream is pricey, but it's worth it. It's very good ice cream!

Fun little ice cream shop located around Rittenhouse Square! 5/5. This shop has one of the most uniquely assorted variety of ice cream shops I’ve ever been to. Malai does ice cream with a twist, with many/all of the flavors notable Indian flavors combined to create unconventional, but absolutely delicious flavors. The staff were so friendly and patient as I tried a ton of different flavors, and the flavors did not disappoint. The flavors were not underwhelming and you could properly taste the flavors it stated! I find that flavors being not noticeable is a common problem in most unique flavors at most ice cream shops, but not this place! The flavors were perfect and prevalent, the ice cream smooth and creamy, and the vibes/atmosphere fun and upbeat. Highly recommend this spot for a more unique twist on a dessert / ice cream spot!
