I ordered a veg biriyani from **Malar Cafe** through PickMe Food because it is listed as a purely vegetarian place and does not offer any non-veg items. As a strict vegetarian, I do not consume anything other than vegetarian meals. After eating just two spoonfuls, I found a chicken bone in the biriyani. I was extremely shocked and upset. This is completely unacceptable, especially from a restaurant that promotes itself as vegetarian. I immediately went to the cafe and informed them about the issue. The owner did not seem to take it seriously. He was laughing and casually asked someone to replace the biriyani with a new one. The waiter simply left the newly packed parcel on the table without any proper explanation. The owner apologized in a very casual manner but did not clearly explain how a chicken bone ended up in a veg biriyani. When I questioned this, he said that **Sultan Palace** prepares their biriyani at the Sultan Palace kitchen. This explanation was very concerning. How can a vegetarian cafe have its food prepared in a non-vegetarian kitchen? This raises serious concerns about cross-contamination and transparency. Since I no longer felt confident or safe about their food, I left the replacement biriyani there and did not take it with me. This is not a small mistake — for vegetarians, this is a serious issue. Customers trust vegetarian establishments to maintain strict standards. This experience was deeply disappointing, both because of the food safety issue and the unprofessional response from the owner. I hope they take this matter seriously and ensure it never happens again. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
