We were craving thai on a Monday. So our favorite place was a no go. Luckily through the power of yelp we found this alternative. I ordered pineapple curry chicken and split a pad thai, which to his request was spicy! Ask and receive, it delivered all the spice. I also got mango sticky rice which set a nice balance to the dish. It was a to go order so I speak of the food only.

Amazing food. The curry puff was super flaky, I highly recommend it. The Thai tea is great both with cream or lemonade. I ordered the pork nexk meat w sticky rice. The sticky rice was in the bamboo container, super cute. I'll give context on why I gave this restaurant/small business a one star rating. This will be a long review but please come to your own conclusions regarding this place.  This is my experience with Mali Thai Restaurant: I had some friends over and in total, there were 5 adults and two kids under 2 years old.  We decided to give Mali Thai Restaurant a try since it was the closest Thai restaurant according to Uber Eatsto my house.  We had opted to have our friend order through her new Uber Eats account in order to use a promo code which gave us $25 off our/her first order through the app.   We ordered Pork Kratiem Prikthai Kai Dow ($17.95 in the app), Charcoal-grilled pork neck ($17.95), Crispy Chicken Basil ($17.95), and Shrimp Tom Yum Soup ($7.95) - we technically also ordered the Mango Sticky rice but did not get it fulfilled as it unavailable due to being out of season.   In our experience, paying that kind of price in any restaurant for the dinner portion that it would be a massive amount of food.  When our food was delivered, we were severely disappointed with the cost/portion ratio (see pictures).   I've read some reviews on Yelp regarding this restaurant.  While the size of the portions was mentioned just in passing, I am surprised this restaurant has the rating that it has.   As you can see with the pictures, the size and portion that was given to us was not worth the nearly $18 per entree we ordered.  Each entree in my own opinion is not enough for one person let alone the 5 adults and 2 kids we had waiting on this food.   If the food was really good, I might not be as disappointed or upset with this restaurant as I am (I am writing this review 5 hours after this was delivered to our house which should say how upset I am over this). Individually, there was nothing about the food that stood out to me as being worth what I paid for how little I'm getting.  The charcoal-grilled pork neck was tender and well cooked, yes, but if it was grilled on charcoal, I should be getting at least a hint of smoke.  The only taste I was getting from the pork neck was some slight seasoning - it tasted more like this piece of pork neck was broiled then sliced into thin strips.   The Tom Yum Soup tasted a bit watered down.  I tasted lime (seems like it was more lime juice than lime kaffir leaf) but not a lot, if any, lemon grass.  I make this at home from time to time and I feel like the recipe I got off the internet had more flavor and good meld of taste of ingredients more than this soup.   With the Crispy Chicken Basil, if someone had told me this was from a chinese restaurant instead of a Thai restaurant, I wouldn't be surprised.  It had the familiar crisp of your Panda Express Orange Chicken but with a bit (and I mean bit - if the basil was not present in the box, I wouldn't say this had any basil at all) of basil added to the glaze.   The Kratiem Prikthai Kai Dow or what they say is called "garlic pepper" is anything but.  I'm surprised at how they were able to take away the smell and taste of pepper and garlic from this dish as this defeats the purpose.  The pork was bland and had barely any flavor.   In disbelief, I called the restaurant to confirm the size they had sent to us was not made in error.  I spoke to a lady and after explaining the situation, she had apologized and informed me that they only had one size portion for all orders... I am being told my an employee of this restaurant that the portion that I paid almost $18 each for has a portion of maybe 2/3 pound of meat with everything else vegetables and tastes of barely meeting it's described/advertised flavor.  She kept stating she will pass on my opinions to management and I hung up in frustration of the situation. If not for the $25 off promo code from Uber Eats, I would be paying over $62 for this food.  If we just focused on that for a sec, would anybody be happy paying $62 (more with taxes) for the pictured dishes? Add on to that the lack of flavor and I am not a happy customer.   I hope the owner or manager of this restaurant reads this and can provide an explanation of their pricing because at this moment, I feel the goods are not equivalent to the price and it just serves to maximize profit.
