After enjoying Shaw, go to this bbq that is not far away. Nicely cooked fried chicken, churrasco and broth have a nice taste. Horchata lovers will find it delicious.
The staff is knowledgeable that's what makes Maltiox so good. Guests mention that the service is spectacular here. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are democratic. A lot of reviewers say that the decor here is dull. The cool atmosphere will be exactly just what you need after a long working day. But this place has been rated below average by Google.

This place is amazing is a traditional Guatemalan food the vive is amazing eating a shuco wile you listen to marimba is the best feeling the people and Chef Alonzo and His wife are just amazing people. Worst experience of my life waited more then 20 minutes for two simple appetizers the service was so disappointing the servers were staring at me and my daughters down like I stole something from them and then the manager/owner came out for a second looked at us and went back to the kitchen the place is filled with drunk disgusting guys playing pool I felt so uncomfortable cause they kept looking at us like we had two heads or something. Overall it was a terrible service we felt so unwelcome. We left because I was afraid they would do something to my food. I felt like I was forced to leave I came to support my Latino community and I regret it i do not recommend waitress are the worse part of this place I hope the food is better. I am from Guatemala and visited this place for the first time a few years ago (can’t remember the year but I know the restaurant was at the other location further down the street) That time, I ordered a Shuko but was not very impressed. Came back just recently (July 2025). I first requested Chiles Rellenos but was told they didn’t have so I ended up ordering Pepian and a Rosa de Jamaica to drink. The drink was very good which came with a nice tall glass decorated with a little purple/white flower on the rim. The Pepian on the other hand, was a huge disappointment. For those who don’t know, Pepian is a stew type of dish (un recado) which comes with chicken, it also comes with potatoes, green beans and carrots (some people might add other vegetables like Güisquil, depending on the region). The Pepian from Maltiox was literally a “soup” with a huge piece of chicken and guess what? no vegetables whatsoever!! Not to mention the taste, not even close to what a real Pepian taste like. Very disappointed. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $20–30
