My wife and I went to the Northwest Folk Festival at the City Center today. It is a nice chance to try out some great local vendors as well as see some overpriced garbage that tastes as pretentious as it looks. But fortunately I have a well trained palate and will tell you about Mama Row's Caramel. The first thing I appreciated when fully tasting the caramel cake was the texture. The density of the product is filling with every bite and carries the perfectly balanced flavor of caramel. The subtle moisture of the cake is amazing. You expect it to be gooey at some point but it was even in every single bite. A perfect treat.
