Love, love soul food. This place has delicious home cooked soul food. All the sides I had were great. Would recommend takeout, as not much for seating. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I was visiting from Detroit over the Labor Day weekend and had a taste for some home cooking and this place didn't disappoint. I got the baked chicken, dressing, mac & cheese, candied yams, and collard greens. Everything was perfection. I will definitely be visiting this place again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've lived in Austin for like 5 years and saw this place for the first time a few weeks ago. Today I decided to walk in and get the $5 Holla special with meatloaf and gravy, string beans and potatoes, and mac and cheese. Best. Decision. To. Date. The value is crazy, the food is phenomenal, and everyone who works there is absolutely lovely, including Mama Ruth herself.
