I took my handicapped brother, who also has other medical conditions, to the mall for lunch. We waited in a long line to order chicken, but the employee, Raisel, didn’t offer him a chance to try the different chicken options. I stepped aside for less than a minute while my brother made his decision, as his condition makes it difficult for him to decide quickly. When we came back to order, Raisel made us go to the back of the line again. I politely told her while paying that I didn’t think the situation was fair, but she said the rules were the same for everyone and that no special consideration should be given. I don’t know if that was the policy, but I don’t feel we were treated with kindness or understanding. Taking my brother out is something I truly value, and this experience was very disappointing. After a long day at work and chores I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to cook so I said let’s just grab a quick bite to eat at the mall since they have a ton of choices. We walked by all the kiosk and decided on Pei Wei Asian Express and they were nice enough to let us try a few of the food so we can make the right choice. The ladies behind the counter were so sweet (Magnolia & Ingris). I chose the two hunters and a side and the portions were so large that I was actually able to share with my wife and we also ordered the vegetarian eggroll and the cream cheese wontons. The food was fresh, great portions, and it tasted delicious. I was shocked that they had an average rating of 2 1/2 stars. However, the ladies really made this 5 star experience with their sweetness. Keep up the great work ladies and we will definitely be back. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
