Scammers!! Visited at midnight (09/08) to have a feel of the night life en route The North, paid £20 at the door to be greeted by a completely empty hall with just music playing. Why take money at the gate and lie that the club was in full swing. Such dishonesty. Going by the other comments, I wouldn't be surprised when they quickly run out of business like the other one I went to from here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Right, so to begin with i had a good experience of this nightclub before last year ! Something has gone awry clearly because it's no longer the same vibe. I have a few reservations about Mango. Firstly, the door staff were trying to stop people from entering which i couldn't fathom why, because as soon as you entered, it looked like an absolute funeral with how dead it was. If it was busy I could understand At entry, we were charged £20 which I believe is absolutely criminal, and i seriously think someone should be arrested for charging these unacceptable prices. We go inside, and it's like as though people were doing the mannequin challenge ! There was music and dancing yet barely anyone would dance to the music! It was very socially awkward, and to be honest, I feel like a lot of the people were just standoffish or boujee ! This does not suit my people at all. Black and Boujee does not go together for goodness sakes ! It's like as though some of these club attendees have been living under a rock for 10 years, and have forgotten basic human interaction. A few of the guys in the club were cool and were actually turning up, but it's a shame that the rest didn't follow suit like a tie ! Fortunately, in this club, they don't have a culture where people will randomly come up to you to demand that you buy them drinks. That's good ! I'm not people's father for heaven's sakes, and people need to stop taking advantage in clubs really. I want no wahala ! But it doesn't end there... oh no we are just getting started ! At the door, my friend wanted to take his waterbottle inside but of course wasn't allowed as per the rules, which understandably meant he needed to put it away. He was told that he could have it back at the end of the night. Fine. We come out after we were just bored of the experience and decided to just leave to accept the loss of a boring evening, to be told that the security guard threw it away ! After, he just told us that he was going to keep it safe. This is unacceptable. He then tried convinving my friend to buy water in fhe club which was £4 for a bottle ! If it's £4 for a bottle of water, then it must be sourced from the River Nile because I don't know how they arrived to a figure of 4 quid. I guarantee you, all they did was just fill up the bottles with tap water to try and sell it off as the real thing. It would have been fair to charge £1 or £2 for the bottle and that would have led to more sales. Cost of living, guys c'mon. Of course, whenever you go out anywhere, there's not always a guarantee that you will enjoy thr night out, but to be honest, i just felt like this club experience at Mango left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, with the slow dissapearance of the nightlife in Birmingham, I do believe this club with slowly shut down. In terms of feedback, i've given more than enough, but here are some suggestions. Firstly, charging £20 for entry is insane ! Charge £5 or even a tenner to convince more people to come. Secondly, invest in some bouncers who are a bit more amenable and amicable or tell your current ones to smile a bit more. Maybe the intimidation tactic works to scare off troublemakers, but if they have a large stature as it is, that's enough really. The main point is to attract an audience, not to scare them away ! Lastly, play music that people actually want to listen to. People were more invested when the DJ played amapiano. Playing dancehall, soca and RnB is cool, but the in thing is Amapiano. This is what people want to hear and i feel these other genres just aren't popular anymore. These genres are a bit outdated. Of course, none of these suggestions have to be followed... but I do want to see Mango back to it's glorious days ! Let's see if this will work.
