Celebrating my sisters birthday and decided to give Mano a Mano a shot. Well decorated interior with patio seating available, greeted by friendly host. Our server Sabrina was very kind and provided great insight on the menu. To start off we shared the tiny calamari and the focaccia. The calamari was indeed tiny but was crispy and delicious, same goes for the focaccia. We had some espresso martinis that packed a good punch, but the star for our beverages was the house white wine Pinot Grigio! The wine had a perfect level of sweetness and went well with our dinner. Throughout the table we ordered the short rib pappardelle, spicy lamb sugo, carbonara, and sweet corn agnolotti. I personally got the gluten free version of the spicy lamb sugo and it was very delicious! Great level of spice and the lamb was so flavorful. We also loved the agnolotti and pappardelle. The carbonara was ok but we wouldn’t order it again. The tiramisu was a nice treat, I’m not a fan of tiramisu but I enjoyed this one! It was a fantastic experience, but what hindered it a bit was there was no AC running at the time. Summertime Chi can get a bit hot and humid, which we definitely felt inside the restaurant. That’s why I must give the atmosphere a 4/5. But overall a great restaurant in Chicago! Some of the best pasta in the city without a doubt. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $50–60

The food here is genuinely bad. We had the "stuffed foccacia", which was $20 and not a foccacia at all but more of a naan bread. It was supposed to be stuffed with cheese but only one bite of the 9 pieces had any cheese. Then we had the lobster ravioli which was $30 for one nibble of lobster and 6 small raviolos which were completely bland. Then we had the roast chicken, which was also $30 and was the dryest chicken I've ever had, on top of a bed of soggy peppers that had the stems on them still?? All together we spent $160 on one of the worst meals I've ever had at a restaurant. The wine was fine and service was great, but overall this is not a good restaurant.
