Our first time back after the refurbishment and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed our food took a long time to arrive and when it did it wasn’t as nice as it has been in the past. It was very noisy too we’ve always stayed for extra drinks in the past but couldn’t wait to get out. Shame cos the refurb is fantastic. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: £30–40

The recent refurbishment of Maranto's is excellent though I am reliably informed by my wife is nowhere near as impressive as, and I quote, 'the bald guy behind the upstairs bar's skill at making the perfect Negroni'. According to my wife he makes a better Negroni than any she has had made in Italy. She is indeed a woman who truly appreciates a good Negroni but it would be true to say the service and standard of cocktails from the man in question at Maranto's are indeed inferior to none. Hold on to him Maranto's. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
