Besides Campo de' Fiori, visit Marave in the vicinity. According to the guests' comments, Italian dishes here are quite nice and the menu is well-organized. At Marave, try good gelato. In accordance with the reviewers' opinions, waiters offer great latte.
The positive aspect of this place is that the staff is terrific.

We tried a handful of gelateria shops during our recent visit to Rome including the excellently located Marave right on the main square at Campo de'Fiore. Prices are a bit higher than many places we found around the city but gelato is thicker and creamier compared to other places tried during this visit to the city. They have a good selection of traditional and some signature flavours at Marave. We tried coffee, pistachio and chocolate. The coffee and pistachio flavours were both pretty good but the star on the day was easily the chocolate, a rich and creamy, smooth dark chocolate that tasted wonderful. Would gladly return to Marave to have their chocolate gelato again and to try other choices they have.

Ci siamo stati stasera per la prima volta, abbiamo preso una granita al limone ed una alle mandorle, entrambe buonissime! Si sentiva proprio il gusto e la freschezza del frutto. In più il ragazzo che ci ha servito è stato gentilissimo. Davvero complimenti!
