Absolutely shocking experience at Marvi Gelato. My boyfriend and I were standing in line to buy gelato when the owner appeared to assume we were trying to use the bench without purchasing anything. Despite being customers waiting our turn, she continued to glare at us and eventually started yelling at us in front of everyone in line. When I began recording the interaction, she came out from behind the counter and assaulted me by swatting my arm. The entire line was visibly upset by her behavior, and several people left rather than continue waiting. I’ve never experienced such aggressive and unprofessional treatment from a business owner. I will be reporting the incident to the police. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. There’s a much better gelato shop next door.

Terribly overpriced gelato with even worse service. I watched the owner practically attack a patron for sitting on the bench while waiting in line for gelato... classless. Save yourself the trouble and go to the place right next door -- much better priced, delicious and true customer service, UNLIKE this place.

Avoid this gelato shop at all costs!!! An old woman who works the cashier came outside and put her hands on my friend just for taking a picture. Completely unacceptable behavior and honestly one of the worst experiences we’ve had in Italy. The old woman was also incredibly hostile and rude from the moment we walked in. Instead of supporting businesses that treat tourists and customers this way, go to the famous gelato spot right next door “Mago del Gelo” — much better service, better atmosphere, and people who actually appreciate your business. There are too many amazing places in Italy to waste your money somewhere that treats people with disrespect.
