Celebrating our 34th anniversary, so decided to book Marco Pierre White in our hometown, arrived early, offered a drink at the bar. Brilliant views of Plymouth Sound. Expresso Martini to start with. Shown to the table appropriately 5 mins later. Warm baked sourdough and Martini Olives, while waiting. STARTERS Calamari - not as crispy as we thought it would be, but the Tartare sauce made up for that - delicious Mr White's Scotch Egg - 1st time having a warm Scotch egg, beautifully seasoned and a great runny egg. MAINS Ribeye steak with side of onion rings - steak was tasty and onion ring huge and crispy. Grilled Swordfish - best I have had in a long time. Piperade bell pepper and onion sauce yummy. DESSERT Clafoutis of Blueberries with double cream - recommended by Francesca and described as similar to a bread and butter pudding - needless to say hubby was sold and it was well worth the 20 minute wait while it was cooked. Trio of ice cream - Chocolate with chocolate flakes, Vanilla and Caramel with fudge pieces - thick creamy and delicious. Overall - we had a brilliant time and the service was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly. Special thanks to Paul and Francesca. Will definitely return. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Scotch Egg
