Wow I can't believe how cold the Pizza was, and they were total jerks when we called and said their order was wrong, I'd like to give 0 stars, pizza can always be pretty good when it's bad this was god awful, we called to get it rectified and we got hung up on. They are losers and never again and I'll gladly tell everyone how bad they are Clawson deserves better. Get a digorno.
I really hope the owners take this constructively. We were at the Volleyball tourney this past weekend in Pontiac and the Marconi's Pizza truck was there. It was very busy and I understand that you can only make the pizzas so fast. But parents were missing games because they ordered and paid. It took 45 minutes for me to get 4 slices!! I have never seen so many pissed off people waiting for their food. The sad thing is the pizza was dam good but people were so pissed including myself it did not matter. For a future event like this think about trying to shuttle 20 pizzas at a time from the store to the truck. These people did not care if is was hot, warm, luke warm or cold as there were no options inside. Pizza is good at any temp. In fact after Saturday on Sunday you could have probably done 30 at a time from the store besides what was cooking in the truck You could have sold 30 whole pizzas in 15 minutes or less and quadrupled your sales, and done it over and over. There were thousands of parents there and even better thousands of hungry volleyball players. Anyway your pizza was very good..The BBQ chicken is something I woul never have ordered but I loved it and would get it again.
How can I describe this truck in a word... Probably "mediocre." The slice combo for $12 isn't a terrible deal (was apparently $10, but no longer), but a couple things. First, you can't mix slices, they have to be the same. May I ask why? You can get individual slices for $6.50, but then you pay more for less. Second, the pizza is just super ordinary: the sauce is average, and the crust is greased through and soggy. They're a decent enough size, but it's super unspectacular pizza. BUT the cheese bread would make for ideal drunk food. It tastes like cheesy alfredo on bread. Nothing wrong with that. With places like 112 and (more similar to style )Buddy's around, I don't see a reason to try Marconi's again, unless it's for their cheese bread. They should make that into a pizza with macaroni noodles and call it "Marconi and Cheese pizza" -- you're welcome, guys. I'll take a check. In response to Mr. Marconi, thank you for your quick response. However, it's kind of concerning --if you find it necessary to devalue yourself by having to cut corners on your food truck, you probably should have let the idea go by the wayside and stick to brick-and-mortar locations. I can only speak for myself, but I could never settle with selling a less than stellar product. And don't fret -- I dreamt about the cheesebread.
