Thought I was going to enjoy Seaside Mare, unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. After being seated we realised we’d arrived just in time for a performance from Sicilys very own wedding DJ, not just playing songs loud enough to be heard on the mainland but also singing along. What a treat! If the treat was a night locked up by the Carabinieri perhaps Onto the food which doesn’t get much better. The €30 set menu seems great value but the fried squid was rubbery and the pasta rather bland. You’d expect the squid to land back on your plate if you threw it at the wall if I’m being completely honest. Make sure you’re hungry otherwise it’ll be a bit of a waste. On a positive note the Campari Spritz was a belter- many thanks Giorgio. The setting is wonderful, dining at sunset felt very special, just a shame you can’t eat a sunset. Price per person: €30–40 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Very good experience. We arrived about 10 minutes before closing time and were still welcomed, seated, and served quickly without any issue. We don’t speak Italian, but the staff still treated us very kindly and made everything easy for us. The octopus salad was the highlight, very tasty and well prepared. Overall, good food and excellent service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
