There will never be anything like Marie Catrib's. They had amazing breakfast and lunch options and the BEST desserts by far. We never got dessert anywhere but here. Everything was good and the people were amazing. We will forever miss our favorite GR breakfast/lunch spot!

Marie Catrib's was hands down the best food and bakery in downtown Grand Rapids, period. If I could've eaten here three times a day, everyday, I wouldn't give it a second thought. When I discovered I had Celiac, this was still a safe place I could go, and the menu selection was barely reduced, unlike most places that only have 2-3 offerings. Everything on the menu was amazing, from the breakfast specials to all of their sandwiches. And the offerings in the deli were just as great. Keep your Starbucks coffee, they served Ferris Coffee Cinnamon Hazelnut, and their house Turkish Coffee was out of this world and well worth a minor detour. Grand Rapids is going to be hard pressed to have something come up that can compete with the memories of everything that was just truly great about what Marie and Fouad did with their time.
