Google suggested this restaurant when I was looking for a place to try local Kazakh beshbarmak. I walked in, sat down, and asked for the menu. A lady brought it to me, and I asked whether they had beshbarmak with horse meat. She explained that they didn’t, as the restaurant was mainly Russian. Anyway, I decided to order something else. While I was sitting there waiting for my food, a group of beautiful dancers came out and performed a traditional Russian folk dance. It was a lovely and unexpected surprise. Then, one of the dancers invited me to join the group and dance with them. Of course, I did! I came in looking for a taste of traditional Kazakh cuisine, but ended up having an unexpected Russian cultural experience instead. It was definitely a memorable night! The food and service alone warrants five stars . The beef rib was so incredibly tender that we ordered another one. The waitstaff had cute outfits on too, and were really accommodating to us English speakers. An advice for tourists visiting is to allow them some time to prepare the dishes - it’s really worth the wait. When we visited on a Friday evening, there was music and dancing too. Bravo!
