We misjudged timings and arrived almost two hours before our booking. It was super busy yet the owner and staff did all they could to help us out and got us a table for six pretty quickly. We really felt like we were being looked after. The food was excellent (recommend the Shepherds Pie) and the service was outstanding. You could tell that the owner had put a lot of effort into training the staff as they were all so very switched-on and professional. Our server Frankie (sorry if I've got that wrong) was excellent and the owner made the effort to chat and joke with everybody that walked through the door. Overall it was a great experience that did more than just tick boxes. Thank you. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a fantastic meal at The Mariners Public House in Rock and couldn’t fault a thing. The Dog’s Pollock was absolutely incredible – perfectly cooked, packed with flavour, and easily one of the best dishes we’ve had in Cornwall. The fish and chips were equally outstanding, with beautifully flaky fish, light crispy batter, and excellent chips. The quality of the food was exceptional throughout. What really made the visit special was the service. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with stunning views across the Camel Estuary adding to the experience. As dog owners, we especially appreciated how dog-friendly the pub is. Our dog was made to feel just as welcome as we were, with treats and water available and plenty of fuss from the team. It’s wonderful to find somewhere that combines top-quality food, excellent service, and a genuinely welcoming attitude towards dogs. A perfect dining experience and somewhere we’ll will always return to. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visiting from South Africa. I realise how amazing our food in South Africa actually is. I had a Caesar salad which was tasty but the chicken was crusted in a very hard, slightly burnt coating. Not the best I've ever eaten. The dessert however made up for the average main dish. It was chocolate orange brulee which was absolute lip smacking deliciousness.
