Jack of all trades master of none The main problem with hook and catch is there's too many items on their menu and not enough consistency between them their quality control is questionable I've ordered here many times various issues never a clean sweep. The following issues being Soggy chips Never salted food Soggy batter Dry chicken Insanely oily food (Most commonly) Earthy almost unwashed taste to chips And chocolate sauce that had the same aftertaste as vomit I say way to many items but not enough quality control it's jack of all trades master of none feels more focused on being viral on tiktok rather than cleaning the fryers or not sending expired tasting sause the simpler the better. There are better options like genaros Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Probably one of the best chippys I have ever had, not greasy and the haggis tacos were unreal. Absolutely didn't expect that from a chippy. Deep fried Oreos are a must Meal type: Dinner

We were really looking forward to our food tonight. Sadly, I've no idea what's happened to the birria tacos since I last got them. The brisket was bland and dry with much less gravy than usual. The dip was oily, and the tacos themselves weren't just charred, they were burned on one side. The tacos have been my go-to for a while, they're usually guaranteed to be fantastic. A change of recipe or a change of staff, who knows. Whatever the reason for the decline in quality, I'm genuinely gutted. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
