The food was average, too much hype for average seafood that can be bought at any other place. The flavor seemed average nothing too special. Pricey for a plate and plus your outside eating and portable restrooms specially in az too expensive in my point of view. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We checked out this place because of the hype, but the experience was disappointing. The server showed almost no customer service or enthusiasm, and she only checked on us once the entire time. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet we waited about 30 minutes for our food. When it arrived, the portions didn’t justify the price—too small and heavy on vegetables, with the seafood requiring you to dig for it. I asked for mine to be mildly spicy, but the server brought my plate and told me to mix it to my preferred heat, claiming it used the same sauce as my wife’s spicy campechana. After tasting my wife’s campechana, I realized that wasn’t true. I also requested an extra empty plastic bowl to share with my kid, which was just a few steps away. Instead of handing it to me, the server walked past to sit another table, then returned to grab the plate and bring it over. It felt inefficient and awkward to watch. The overall flavor was average for a mariscos place and didn’t live up to the hype. To be transparent, I haven’t found another Mariscos spot that beats ( Fily ) on 6530 W Glendale ave—their portions are larger and cheaper, with flavor that’s unmatched by this place or anywhere I’ve tried. Very disappointing overall. We ordered two campechanas 1 Tostada de aguachile and two lemonades, totaling $105—not worth it plus I had to almost make my own campechana by mixing the spice to my level with sauce that wasn’t even the same I wish I was making this up!
