Market Street Family Restaurant in Mentor is a classic American establishment that serves up delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare. The eatery boasts a warm and welcoming ambiance that feels like coming home. The interior design is cozy with wood floors, skylights, and windows that let in plenty of natural light. The price range is fair, making it an excellent spot for families and groups of friends. Located North of the 2 & 615 exit, this establishment is easily accessible and has ample parking.
One of the special features of this fine dining spot is the salad and soup buffet, which includes two hot soups to enjoy. The chicken fried steak dinner is a standout dish, with each component well-prepared, but the sausage gravy being particularly remarkable with great herb flavor. Other notable dishes include the open face meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans, the Steak and 2 eggs breakfast, and the gyro entree. For those looking for something sweet, the pumpkin cheesecake is a must-try dessert.
Market Street Family Restaurant also offers a variety of soft drinks and wines, including Diet Coke and coconut cream pie. The friendly and attentive servers, such as Marguerite, are always on hand to keep coffee cups warmed up and ensure that all needs are met. While the men's bathroom could use some work, the overall experience at this establishment is pleasant and satisfying.
Went there tonight December 8th for dinner waited 15 minutes for our drink order finally got our drinks she took our order we had the salad bar and then we waited another 45 minutes for our food that still was not done and we got and walked out have been there before food is always good salad bar is excellent but the service was awful.
Market street Family restaurant is very mediocre. My wife and I had lunch there. We got the roast beef sandwich, comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was extremely salty, gravy tasted like it came from a jar, beans were okay. Water to drink . Bill was $24 Not a very good value. Can't recommend... Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

We eat here a lot. Love the chopped sirloin, and the philly cheese steak platter. Waiting staff very friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because most places we eat have AYC salad/soup bar while Mkt.St. only allows one trip. Otherwise, I'd give 5 stars.
