Besides Abergavenny Museum and Castle, visit Marmaris Kebab House in the vicinity. Here you will be able to taste nicely cooked chicken skewers, doner and salads. Marmaris Kebab House is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are attractive. The peaceful atmosphere will be really just what you need after a hard working week. This place scored 4.5 in the Google rating system.

They only accept cash, which is inconvenient enough but when you only have your phone to pay it gets even worse. You need to stand at the till and download their app go through all the hoops of doing that, and to add insult to injury, there is an additional charge for doing that on top at the end. £14 is a v expensive kebab especially for a baby size. Food was below average. My ‘mixer’ doner had next to no chicken in it, and a very small amount of other (miscellaneous) meat. It was a battle of attrition with the flimsy plastic fork for it to not lose a prong whilst stabbing away at the food. One tiny little Sylvanian Family napkin, the sort one of the little bears would have had for a picnic. I won’t be returning.
