This restaurant and Historical and Folk Art Museum of Rethymnon can be both really attractive for tourists. Try something unusual from Greek and Mediterranean cuisines. Nicely cooked saganaki is nice to taste. The whole impression won't be complete without rakia that is delicious here.
Live music is played by musicians in the evening. The courteous staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Service at Marouvas is something one can name prompt. Many guests highlight that the dishes are offered for attractive prices. There is a quiet atmosphere and cute decor at this place. This spot is ranked 4.5 within the Google grading system.

Local taverna in the center of the old town, super cheap, amazing homemade food, friendly staff (so friendly they sit with you at the table and have a shot of raki or two) and a nice vibe. Live greek music (not touristy stuff) on some days of the week... Definitely check it out! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
