What an amazing experience dining in this unique restaurant where modern meets history and the menu is a feast for eyes and taste buds. Weekend in Hoorn with my girl... Enjoy! And that also includes the food, service & atmosphere at Marque Restaurant I had mentioned when I made my reservation that it was my girl's birthday, they had thought of that in a nice way! I had high expectations, this was my second time here; the first time was excellent with a great risotto allo zafferano. To be honest, this time I was very disappointed with the full menu and dishes, a mix of Italian and Spanish flavors but not really authentic. The risotto in particular (I actually only came for that) was disappointing. There are indeed many ways to prepare risotto, but this one should really be called something else. Why do restaurants always try to reinvent the wheel and serve a steering wheel? Such a pity! The wines were excellent and the waiter had a deep understanding of what he was serving. The service was also perfect. The atmosphere is original and cozy, but was disturbed by a strange sewage smell.
