I have posted a most positive review for Maryland Fried Chicken in Summerville, Ga in the past but alas today did not measure up. The 12 piece chicken only was de-licious but unfortunately the employee who took our order was well below in customer service. The opening time posted was 10 am so we arrived at 10:10 and the open sign was off. We drove around to see if sign was just forgotten but employees were there. The young male with a black Nike sweatshirt lacked in personality which was sad enough but he told us we'd have to come back in 20 minutes so they could fry the chicken. Ok, not a big problem. We came back in 30 minutes and was told we had to wait 4 minutes which ended up 7 minutes. Ok, we were a bit irritated. But the point of all this is the employee never apologized, never said much of anything and never remedied the situation with a couple free slaws or an extra piece of chicken. I worked in customer service my whole life and never saw such an uncaring individual. He should never be working with the public at all. We asked him his name to make a complaint to the manager and he said "no". So I believe Mr. "No" knows he is not good at his job. I will add that all other employees we have encountered at Maryland Fried Chicken have been fantastic and we even have had a few laughs. Too bad they were not there today. The chicken stripes are awesome. They were seasoned well, and the breading held to the chicken, too. We had the honey mustard sauce and like it, too.
