Had pizza here before, was amazing. Planned to come back another time, even messaging them and getting confirmation as well as checking if they were open on that day. Turned up and they had decided to take an extended break with only a Facebook post a few hours earlier. By FAR best Pizza in Newy! We have been coming for years and when the old owner sold I got worried that the quality would drop nope it’s still as good as ever, maybe even better. I love the charr on the sourdough base! We grab it take away and sit at Bar Beach. I recommend the zucchini pizza and defs get the feta dipper. Visited Masa Madre Sourdough Pizza for the first time today after hearing so many good things. It's a hidden gem located in the middle of the industrial area in Wickham... blink and you'll miss it... but if you're lucky enough to find it, you'll be in for a culinary treat. The bases are incredible - they are worth the trip alone. The toppings tasted fresh and overall it was some of the most authentic and rustic tasting 'Spanish' pizza we've ever sampled. The pizzas might seem a touch pricey, given their relatively small size when compared against more rubbish commercialised pizzas (cough Pizza Hut), but rest assured 1 of these bad boys will fill an adult and you simply won't find a "real" pizza like this anywhere (apart from Napoli in town, of course). With this in mind, I'm going to go ahead and say that I rate Masa better than Napoli! The venue itself is very small and only has limited seating outside, but don't let that stop you. It's close enough to Honeysuckle and the beaches that you could just grab it for takeaway and enjoy some pizza by the water. Finally, the owners also do home-made ice creams on a stick and they are to die for. We had 'Mango & Coconut' and 'Lemon Pie' and they were the ideal way to finish a great meal.
