Located on Takakuma in Inazawa's quiet Sobue district, Masachan offers a unique take on Japanese cuisine. Known for its cozy atmosphere, the restaurant is especially popular among solo diners. It features a limited seating arrangement with a counter accommodating around twelve guests, which creates an intimate dining experience. The interior has been described as somewhat unconventional, with hints of a lived-in ambiance.
Dining at Masachan is purely an in-person experience, as they don't offer delivery. The menu comprises both small plates and standard fare suitable for pairing with their selection of alcoholic beverages, including beer. Table service is provided, and customers can enjoy meals directly at the bar. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are not available, which might pose a challenge for some visitors.
While reservations are accepted, it’s important to note that the establishment operates on a cash-only basis. Given its local charm, Masachan might cater primarily to nearby residents, with varying review sentiments between praise for flavor and efficiency, balanced with remarks on cleanliness. Unfortunately, recent updates from the owner are lacking, with the last review being nearly a year old, so diners might find themselves making discoveries upon their visit. The restaurant operates from Thursday to Monday, opening its doors in the afternoon until late evening.
