Nice restaurant, very good location right on Neptunplatz. The food was delicious and the selection was relatively large, but the dishes also had their price. The service was nice but you had to ask to place the order etc.. You should also make a reservation in advance. Generally a good restaurant. My friends and I went recently to Masala Empire and we wanted to sit outside. The waiter said it would rain and recommended us to sit inside, but inside there was only a free table for 4 people (and we were 5) and no extra chair could be added to the table. We tried to find a solution to sit all together, but the waiter was basically not interested in helping. From the very beginning he was rude and impatient, as if he was very annoyed to be dealing with us. Clearly the guy doesn't know how to treat customers and/or doesn't care about them. We left and as we moved away, a different waiter asked what the problem was. One of us just said "bad treatment" and one of my friends stayed and explained the situation. The waiter said he couldn't do anything about it because the guy who was rude is the manager. To me it is amazing how people like this can get a job in Germany. If you work in the service sector and you treat clients like this.. it is probably the wrong job for you.. I was curious to try their food, but now I am so, so glad I didn't. We went to a restaurant 5 min away, were received with a smile and friendliness and found a table within seconds. I will never go to Masala Empire again and also wouldn't recommend it to anyone for the treatment of their clients alone.
