My son and I were in the area and decided to check out Masamune. The ambience is home style, down-to-earth and humble. We had an excellent server who patiently and enthusiastically answered my son’s questions about the menu and what he should order, since he is a die hard Japanese cuisine fan and wanted to try something new. The dishes were delicious and we enjoyed our meal throughly. Love love love! This place is so simple, fresh and good! It's a quicker version of Sugarfish. The concept is simple: get a menu, pick what you want, sit at the sushi bar (no tables here), and let your meal roll out. I usually get the 4-hand roll set menu. At other sushi places I tend to stick to salmon or tuna because I know these items will typically be fresh, but at Masamune Japanese Restaurant everything is so fresh and good! They do have beer and glasses of sake, but my favorite is their iced green tea. This is a lunch time go-to for me!
