Found this sushi restaurant while looking at places of interest around Awaji. Didn't know what to expect however, it turned out to be a great experience. It's a small restaurant with an amazing view. The food was tasty and fresh. The owner was very nice and shared information about the area and how he sources his seafood. We went during the low season so it was quieter and there was no need to book. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Masazushi is remembered as a light house in the darkness for hungry sailors that evening. We were traveling from Kobe by train to the station on the other side of Awajishima. We walked around parks at the waterfront. Our plan was to have dinner at Awajishima. However, it was extremely confusing to find a way to cross the bridge. We learned how to catch the bus to get there, but the challenge started after we reached the next bus stop. No taxis and no bus at all. We were waking and walking and walking down to get to the village. Then we reached the place where I wanted but that place was fully occupied. It was already dark. We never gave up and found Masazushi. The omakase course there is immaculate. Most of all, I recommend ordering extra uni and sea eels. The restaurant people heard our little adventure tale, and the pretty waitress said that she would feel obligated to drive back to the bus stop, and she did. I love their hospitality and their state of art food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
