I finally figured out where I had the best Italian pasta of my entire trip aaaand it was HERE If you come here, get the tonnarelli with meatballs. Seriously. The funny thing is, my friend and I were walking around the Colosseum and originally planned to go to Trastevere for food. But it was getting late, we were exhausted, and eventually we just gave up and ended up here. We were like, how bad could it be? We even checked the reviews before committing. When the pasta arrived, I honestly wasn’t convinced. I wasn’t sure about how it looked and thought it probably wasn’t going to be anything special. Then I took the first bite. I was SHOOK. It was so ridiculously good. I literally went back the next day for lunch before leaving Italy because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So yeah… after trying pasta all over Italy, I finally found my favorite. Tonnarelli with meatballs. Get it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €20–30

During our stay in Rome, we found ourselves coming back to Ristorante Massenzio Ai Fori every single day—and that says everything. With so many restaurants to choose from in Rome, this was the one place we always looked forward to returning to. The food was consistently outstanding. Every dish was prepared with great care, full of authentic flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether it was pasta, pizza, meat dishes, or dessert, everything we tried was excellent. What truly makes this restaurant special is the people. The staff are among the kindest and most professional we have ever met. They are attentive without being intrusive, always smiling, and genuinely care about making every guest feel welcome. Their hospitality turned every meal into a memorable experience. The location, just a short walk from the Colosseum, is perfect, and the atmosphere is warm, elegant, and inviting. From the quality of the food to the exceptional service, everything is done to a very high standard. Ristorante Massenzio Ai Fori was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome.
