We had lunch at Massif in Tokyo, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The food was excellent. We had the salmon and avocado sandwiches on focaccia, along with the lamb, and started with a couple of soups. Everything was delicious. The coffee was outstanding as well. The restaurant bakes all of its own bread and serves its own coffee, and both were exceptional. The atmosphere is airy and modern, with lots of natural light and beautiful wood furniture that make the space feel warm and inviting. It works perfectly for a relaxed lunch, yet it also feels elegant enough for a date night or a dinner to celebrate a special occasion. The service was excellent too, friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. I couldn’t recommend Massif more highly. And while I am not much of a wine drinker myself, they have a beautiful cellar visible from the dining room, and I am told their wine selection is excellent.
