Yoshoku Masuda is the kind of small Kobe yoshoku restaurant where the price seems almost too good to be true. The modest space has a slightly Westernised interior and a semi-open kitchen where you can watch the chef at work. The service was exceptionally attentive. The waitress brought food and water with a level of attention that went beyond what you would expect in a casual dining restaurant. The food was excellent. The demi-glace was not sharp or salty, but deep and full of roasted flavour. The cabbage rose like a tower and remained crisp and juicy. Even the slightly soft rice was of good quality. Given the quality of the food, a price just above 1000 yen seems reasonable in today's climate. Payment is by cash or PayPay only, but that's a minor detail. This is a small Kobe yoshoku shop where the sauce, cabbage and rice all feel honestly made. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Recommended dishes: ランチ ハンバーグ エビフライ 魚フライ
