Visited this small restaurant in Takeo for lunch and had a great value set meal and a fresh sashimi platter for amazing prices. They offer 3 types of set meals on Weekdays at only ¥1100 each—chicken namban, seared fish, or fried battered white fish. Sashimi platter for one was great value as well, ¥1800 for 5 types of fresh sashimi. Mainly visited by locals so no English menu, Japanese menu was extensive but rather straightforward to make out after translating with Google Lens. Mataemon is located in Takeo City. Although Takeo has no sea, the seafood is very beautiful. I eat sea urchin bowl every time. This sea urchin bowl also has a large portion, but I believe it costs around 1,600 yen. Very cheap. . . The other set meals are also huge and I think even men will be satisfied. The cost performance is the best! Just one thing. The meat udon had no taste. . . ? ? ? Taste of. Only this is minus 1. There is also a private parking lot next to it! We also have semi-private rooms, so it's a good idea to make a reservation!
