Good standard. Our best addresses.

Situated on the top floor of the Raphaël hotel just behind Piazza Navona, this restaurant serves some of the best vegetarian cuisine in Rome. Each of the elaborate dishes boasts numerous ingredients and every single course is a delightful surprise. Equally stunning is the panoramic terrace overlooking the city’s rooftops, where meals are served in fine weather. More info

An amazing place, a must visit when in Rome. I dined here with my husband and were we very surprised, not only does this venue have the best rooftop view in Rome but it also has an incredible vegan/ veg menu. We had 5 courses each, and loved all of them. The staff didn’t rush us out and we were there for nearly 3 hours. I also noticed they have taken care of the bird issue previously mentioned here through their own vegan style bird defense system (an eagle and handler stand quietly in the background!).. Priced on the higher side as it’s a wonderful experience and incredible food. The service was really good, attentive, and we would definitely return on our next trip. The menu is varied, innovative and fully vegetarian. I loved that they collaborate with La Manuelina from Recco (Liguria) and you can taste their focaccias here - try the parmigiana version, it’s unbelievable. Among the pastas my favourite is the one with potatoes, chamomile and lemon - simple perfection - and the melon gazpacho with gorgonzola foam is sublime. Who would have thought that melon and gorgonzola cheese could go so well together? If you want something vegan, the dish called “Passeggiata nel Bosco” is spot on. The restaurant also has a fabulous terrace with incredible views over Rome landmarks and ideal for an aperitivo before dinner too. A well-kept secret in Rome! Visiting Roma for a couple of days. Found this very charming place on our way back to our hotel, and finally had lunch at Mater Terrae. Superb service and welcoming people. Food was very surprising and delicious. Went a second time for dinner the day after, on the roof top with again the same feeling of being very spoiled under the stars ! Special thanks to Mattia and his team. See you next time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Parking space: Not sure
