The restaurant's exterior and food

Enjoy Independence Wharf by default, the guests' piece of advice is to visit this bar as well. The key aspect of Matria is the Italian cuisine. Here you will be able to order nicely cooked scallops, ribeye and gnocchi. Being at this place, try good panna cotta and tasty tiramisu. Get your meal started with delicious wine or good beer.

Select between indoor and outdoor seating. A number of guests say that the staff is knowledgeable at this place. The fine service is a great benefit of this spot. Prices are found average here. The cool atmosphere will be a good addition to appetizing dishes and excellent location of this bar. But many clients who use Google didn't grant Matria a high rating.

High-class service paired with exceptional food. Far beyond what I expected from a hotel restaurant. It’s absolutely worth dining here, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. P.S. I wish I could show you how incredible my Agnolotti looked, but I devoured it in seconds :) Only negative thing would be that they charge you 10$ for not drinking bevarage as N/A Bevarage Fee… which is weird…. I visited Matria as part of Boston’s Dine Out program with my girlfriend. We were very surprised how nice the restaurant looked like! We were also seated right next to the windows so we could watch the sunset. We sat at an organized, clean table with spotless utensils and glasses. We both ordered a Caesar Salad as appetizers which were great but they had too much parmesan in them. For mains, we got the Braised Short-Rib which were very tender and properly seasoned. For desserts, I ordered a Tiramisu cup which was light, creamy, and visually looked great as well! We also ordered a Dark Chocolate Mousse cup which tasted amazing as well. Where the experience turned unpleasant was when I was charged more tip than I had put down on the receipt. I went into a hurdle of contacting the managers over the phone and in person, showing the customer copy of the receipt to both and I always got the response “we will immediately look into this and refund you”. I am not going to mention any names but I am very sad that such a restaurant can afford doing something like this. Basic human principles seem to be non-existent here. I am most definitely not returning to this restaurant because of this experience; but if you end up eating at Matria, make sure you have enough money on your cards because you might end up in a situation like me and waste precious time to get back your money as a “valued customer”.
