A very popular pie/sweets cafe. You can also order sweets for to go. Pies are their specialty. Those pies are meant to be served with vanilla ice cream and garnish. So for to go, unfortunately, they were less than stellar. Credit cards accepted. Meal type: Other Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Matsunosuke can be a bit tricky to find; while you can spot it from the corner, you'll need to enter the building to reach it. Inside, there's tight seating for 8-10 people, with an additional four seats outside. I stopped by for some hometown nostalgia and ordered the New York cheesecake. The regular slice costs around JPY 700 for takeout or JPY 800 for dine-in. I also tried the caramel cheesecake, which was even smaller but notably richer, thanks to its butterscotch/caramel crust. The New York cheesecake was quite tart, leaning a bit heavily on lemon or vinegar, and lacked a graham cracker crust, making it essentially pure cheese. It was also creamier than expected, likely catering to Japanese preferences, and didn't have the crumbly texture typical of New York cheesecake. The caramel cheesecake was very rich, with the caramel/butterscotch flavor somewhat overshadowing the cheesecake itself, though it was still a nice treat. While it was interesting to visit once, I wouldn't make a repeat visit. Meal type: Other Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
