Nestled on Shuzenji, Matsuuchi offers a cozy and casual cafe experience in the city of Izu. This intimate spot is particularly well-regarded for its delightful breakfast offerings and superb coffee, which have left lasting impressions on previous visitors. While the exact operating hours presently remain a mystery, guests have fondly recounted their morning meals here, praising both the Japanese and Western breakfast options for their quality and presentation.
The cafe is suited for those looking for a quiet, solo dining experience or a laid-back morning with friends, as described by travelers reminiscing about its living-room-like atmosphere. Despite the lack of recent feedback, the cozy charm of Matsuuchi remains a highlight. Although precise service details are scarce, it's clear that dine-in options include quick bites, with breakfast and dessert frequently mentioned.
It's important to note that accessibility may be a consideration for some, as there is no mention of the cafe being wheelchair-accessible. Additionally, payments seem to be limited to cash only. Given the moderate price level, planning ahead and possibly inquiring further about the cafe before visiting could enhance your experience.

We had the most amazing breakfasts here. I think it is what influenced us to come back in the fall. We had the Japanese breakfast the first day. The rice was fluffy and the miso soup was invigorating after a night of storms. The salmon and eggs were oh so tasty too. The second day we had the western breakfast. Everything was cooked nicely and the salad was good too. I liked the convenient packaging for the jam and cream. I coffee was super delicious. The bathroom there is nice and clean too. We enjoyed watching tv and eating with another couple. It felt like we were in someone’s living room eating breakfast with them. Absolutely make a reservation and eat breakfast here if your place doesn’t offer it. Breakfast was open from 8am-10am. Our hostel, Hostel Knot, made the reservation for us. Reasonably priced at 800 yen. May sound like a lot for breakfast but the quality and environment was well worth it. すごく美味しかった! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ¥1–1,000
