Super cool place with indoor and outdoor seating! Coffee was great but at $7, it seemed a bit higher than other cafes for an iced americano with an extra shot.

Overall: 3.3/5 I first saw a 2D inspired cafe on social media that was located in Korea which became very popular because of its uniqueness. Then I found Matte Black Coffee here in LA that looked similar so I was excited to come to this place. I read Yelp reviews before coming here which reduced my expectations in terms of drinks but I thought the cafe decor would make up for it. Unfortunately, the place was pretty underwhelming. When I walked it, it smelled like weed - not sure if that's because it's located next to a vape shop. I got the French toast cold bre latte with coconut milk which came out to be $8.21 ($7.50 + $0.71 tax). As many people mentioned, the price is steep & the drink is okay. The drink is a bit sweet and tastes like syrup. The cold Brew base gives it more of a watery consistency & is lighter in terms of the coffee taste. I prefer stronger coffee drinks so now I know I should stick to espresso based drinks. Like everyone said, this is just a place to try once and that's it. It's not worth the price or parking headache (street parking only). Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
