Stumbled in accidentally with my girlfriend to watch my Mets lose. Top notch service, top notch bartender. Seems old but has character. It’s the type of place Jim would go have a beer after a rough day on the boat fishing for lobsta’. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Businesses come and go but no matter what you know Mathew's Pub, Portland's oldest pub, will always be there. They don't care who you are, where you've been, what you wear or who you're friends with no matter what you can head on in for a drink. If you're lucky you'll go in the summer and catch a live band on the patio which you'll hear before you see and it'll carry you in with a view of the ocean if you haven't been yet then you need to go in as soon as you can
