This steakhouse may please you with good fillet steaks, salmon and pork chops. Tasty white chocolate bread pudding, cheesecakes and doughnuts have a good taste. You will be offered delicious wine, bourbon or amaretto. Most likely, you'll come back to Matt's Steakhouse later to try great tea or good coffee.
At this place, you can hold any event, whether it's an anniversary, a wedding or a birthday party. The friendly staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Really tender roast beef able to cut with a fork. Had college parent night there as they were transitioning from a restaurant to a convention/banquet center.

Although the dining room is now permanently closed, Matt's steaks were, by all measures, the best steaks in Mid-Missouri. The bottomless salad and bread sticks were the best around. The service was attentive and friendly, and in two decades of dining here, never screwed up an order. The atmosphere was decidedly rural, along with much of the clientele, but it's the food that made this place special. Now apparently open only for family events, hopefully Matt's still will offer the random carry-out meal for order.
