Mawo, located on Miyukihonmachi in Anjo, is a cozy spot known for serving great coffee and offering a comfortable atmosphere. Open from early morning until late afternoon, Mawo welcomes diners looking for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The restaurant features a straightforward menu focusing on coffee and quick bites, making it ideal for solo dining.
Despite its charm, Mawo remains underrepresented in major restaurant directories, aside from a minimal Google profile, and lacks recent updates from the owner. Among the amenities available, Mawo offers table service and free parking. However, wheelchair accessibility might be an issue as there are no specific provisions indicated for accessible seating or entrances.
Visitors note the establishment's commitment to safety with protocols like temperature checks and frequent disinfections. Guests enjoy meals that are highlighted by generous servings of fresh vegetables, and the warm ambiance is enhanced by attentive service. Although it has been a few months since the last review, the quiet yet inviting vibe of Mawo appears to be a consistent draw for regulars looking to enjoy a good meal at budget-friendly prices.

I loved Mawo. The owner is an older lady and has a decent morning set for ¥550. She brings your toast and drink, but you help yourself to a WIDE range of salad and vegetables on the counter. Only ONE plateful - no going back for seconds! The plate isn’t that big but you can’t complain at these prices. Eggs are up there two and I guess you could take 2 if you want. She wasn’t really monitoring it that much. It’s a really nice classic style Japanese coffee shop. Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Lunch included coffee for 800 yen and had plenty of vegetables. It even came with persimmon for dessert. As a countermeasure against the coronavirus, we are taking temperature measurements and disinfecting with alcohol.
