Stopped in while traveling through. Food was decent- pretty much what we expected. Service was inattentive at best. Not rude, but not friendly. Never checked on us after getting our food, despite stopping at the table next to ours to bring drinks and orders. No utensils or napkins anywhere up front. Ice cream area was dirty, which was weird as it's the first thing you see when coming in. Unlikely to return or recommend. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Max's has fantastic waffles!! Great restaurant in a small town!!:). Max's Diner will always be one of my favorite restaurants in Arthur, IL.!! They have nice staff there!!
