Here you will be able to order nicely cooked scallops and good flounder. A lot of visitors note that the staff is terrific at this restaurant. People say that the service is nice here. But in comparison with other restaurants, Facebook gives Mayflower Seafood a below average rating.

I called in for takeout for myself, my husband and my two sons. The interference was so bad on the phone, I could barely hear the waitress. When we went to pick up the order, the takeout line was 7 deep into the parking lot. The phone interference led to the order being wrong, so the ladies gave me a discount. The food was still awful. I have worked in a seafood restaurant for years and we changed our grease daily. This tasted like it hadn’t been changed in a fortnight. Broiled scallops looked like skate wings (imitation). Fried oysters tasted old from the grease. Won’t be back.

I wish I had four hands so I could give it four thumbs down. ????????????????????????????????. The waitress never smiles. My friend asked for straws she just turned around and left. Brings stuff to the table sits it down and never acknowledges us. We only ordered three appetizers that took forever to get and then didn’t get my wings. But I got the ranch dressing for them. Thanks for that. And it was in no way busy. It never is, but still sane service nearly every time. Businesses are struggling and you’d think with all the competition there’d be more motivation to keep customers and gain new ones.

The food was horrible. Made over half of us sick. We ate a little and sent it all back. We were told that the food was reheated and to talk to the cashier So we explained that we were displeased with our meal and she proceeded to laugh at us. She walks away laughing and we explain it to the manager, who proceeds to do nothing but shrugs. Chances are youre eating the same food we sent back just picked through and sent back. Something was very fishy and it wasnt the seafood. If you need a day off work go eat at mayflower seafood in Roxboro.
