Just stopped in for dinner and really enjoyed the meal. Happy hour deal was solid and the marg was good. I ordered the burrito and if I could physically pull off a back flip, I would have done one. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your dinner, and loved the margarita. And wow—getting a backflip-worthy reaction from our burrito might be the best compliment we've received all week! We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you back to Mazahua Azteca.

Came in at 11:30 AM for lunch. We were the only customers there and when the guacamole came out, it was brown Even chipotle makes their guacamole fresh daily. When we asked for the check, we were told to wait while the server stared blankly at liquor bottle is trying to figure out how to make a mixed drink. Some other customers ordered. It took as long to get the check as it did for us to sit down and actually eat our food. When the check came, I was discharged for chicken when I got vegetarian. The server stated that it was all the same price even though it said chicken I had two point out to him on the lunch menu that it was a three dollar difference and vegetarian was a different price. If you were looking for authentic local Mexican in Raleigh, you would be better off with the mini other local options downtown than here. The spot has potential, but the food was bland(would guess the veggies are from a can). I can't get over being served day old guacamole. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your experience at Mazahua Azteca did not meet your expectations. We are especially concerned to hear about the guacamole, the delay in receiving your check, and the billing error on your lunch order. These are not the standards we strive to provide, and we understand how frustrating that must have been. We take food quality and guest service seriously, and your comments have been shared with our management team so we can address these issues with our staff and kitchen. We truly value your feedback and would appreciate the opportunity to earn back your trust. Please feel free to contact us directly a mazahuaazteca@gmail.com] or (919) 301-8605, and we would be happy to offer a discount on your next visit as a gesture of goodwill. We hope you'll give us another chance to show you the level of hospitality, quality, and authentic Mexican cuisine that Mazahua Azteca strives to provide every day. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns, and if you feel that we were able to make things right, we would be grateful if you would consider updating your review to reflect your experience with our resolution. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the chance to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

All time worst dining experience. Start to finish an absolute disaster. Sat down as 1 of 3 parties in the place, with only 4 people in our group. They have a "full bar" but don't know any cocktails so hopefully you like margaritas, and your guess is as good as theirs as to what kind it will be. It seems like no one in the building is working off the same menu. Despite only having three groups in the restaurant, orders were brought to the wrong table numerous times to the point we actually left after an hour. Half our table got food, a third incorrect dish came out 15 minutes later, and the last dish never arrived. Additionally, not only did our groups food not arrive, but food for another table was placed and left on ours for several minutes before the water realized his mistake. He intended to bring those dishes to the other table until we explicitly told him that wasn't appropriate. After waiting at the table for our meals to be complete, the waiter apologized and said "he would cover the tab". He then proceeded to remove the one meal that truly never even touched the table, and tried charging full price for everything else. Had to speak with the owners because the bit of food that had made it to the table was cold and uneaten, and quite frankly the few bites tried before it went soggy weren't great. Ultimately we paid for the margs which were decent, but that was the sole silver lining. If they had just taken accountability, apologized for the experience, and not tried to charge $100+ for a cafeteria grade dining experience I wouldn't be leaving this review. Can't wait to see what restaurant is here later this year, but it certainly won't be Mazahua Azteca. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
