McCalisters doesn't feel like a deli beyond getting your order in at the counter. It's freshly made food and just delicious. I had a Cuban Sandwich that was one of the best I've had. I'm a bit of a Cuban expert having spent many years in Miami and all those fresh pressed goodies. If you're headed to a deli, try McCalisters ! So disappointed. Waited 45+ minutes for three sandwiches and left without even receiving our food. It took so long that we requested a refund. The manager was rude and could’ve cared less about the terrible service she/staff provided. So lazy & disappointing. Don’t waste your time at this location until it’s under new management. A couple of weekends ago, I did a Pilates class. I hadn't exercised in some time and so I didn't want to ruin the workout. Enter McAlister's Deli. This chain has quite a bunch of healthy options, particularly when it comes to salads. I'm a big fan of their Savannah chopped salad. It consists of cucumbers, diced tomatoes, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola cheese, grilled chicken, honey-roasted peanuts, in a spring mix dressed with sherry vinaigrette on the side. In other words, it's a salad I find myself actually craving. Given that I have their app, as I used to order frequently back in the day when I lived in South Florida, I ordered ahead and went to pick it up. The actual location in Tallahassee is small compared to what I'm used to, but my salad was sheer perfection and hit the spot. Best of all, this salad is less than 500 calories and I didn't ruin my workout. How's that for a win?
